Will this generation be able to reunite the city?

Let me tell you a little about the city…

“Hey, I haven’t seen you around before! What part of town are you from?”

“Oh you’re new here? Well let me give you the tea on this place…”

“Luzmeria is totally divided between the east and west sides. The east side is called The Shade and it’s always super foggy and gloomy over there. The west side is The Gleam and it’s like always sunny and bright. This city used to be united, but then this crazy comet flew by one night and did something funky to the crystals in the mountains. The east side has these purple, blue and green crystals and the west has red, yellow and white ones. After the comet, the crystals started glowing and making the weather all weird. The east got foggy and the west stayed sunny. How crazy is that??”

“So the people in the east and west started changing because of the weird crystal magic. Some of them got special powers and talents from it! The families with the strongest magic became the most popular and took over as leaders.

After a while, the division between the east and west just got bigger and bigger. The east side started calling themselves The Shade and the west called themselves The Gleam.

People in The Shade were raised to stay away from anyone different. The Gleamers were raised to think their way is the only right way. Anyone else is bad news. They’re not allowed to question anything. It’s so extra but they’re totally obsessed with hating what’s different.”

“Finally, there’s this area between the east and west sides called The Beach. It’s where the fog from The Shade mixes with the sun from The Gleam, so it’s like neutral territory.

The oldest teens have had enough of all the fear and hate between the two sides. They wanna make a change and end the fighting, misunderstanding and thinking there’s only one right way.

The future of Luzmeria depends on people being brave enough to face their fears and see that we’re all unique in our own way. There’s no one path everyone has to follow.

Lately it’s actually been pretty chill with less violence between The Shade and The Gleam, which is good.

“Oh, by the way, you can call me George, what’s your name?”

About the canvas…

The Bella+Canvas 3001 Unisex t-shirt. I read and watched reviews (more than I care to think about) and blind ratings on fit, feel and quality. One name came up over and over again, the Bella+Canvas 3001. My goal was to find that one t-shirt that would feel soft even after printing, was made in the USA, and was of premium construction. I also considered how eco-conscious Bella+Canvas is. They recycle cuttings into stuffing and baby bibs, save and filter water for recycling, even saving energy by using motion sensing lights and skylights. Lastly, I discovered that Bella+Canvas had opened a store in Beverly Hills! Enough said.
